The first sentence is pretty powerful!  God determines who walks into your life....it's up to
you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and Who you refuse to let go."

Father, God Bless All my friends in whatever it is that You know they may need this day! And may their life be full of: Your Peace, Prosperity and Power as they seek to have a closer relationship with You. Amen.

Make it a Wonderful "Positive" Day!!

A NEW UPDATE ON MY PROGRESS AFTER MY FALL 4/13/08

NEWEST UPDATE 8/26/08  :) :)
Hello Dear Ones:
THANK YOU ever so much for you ongoing Prayers for me!
I am making great progress now.  Left leg is looking better all the time & am able to transfer [at the kitchen sink holding on] from chair to wheelchair & back to chair.  Also able to put wheelchair back into other room so it can be charged while in kitchen chair.

Cols. Medical Equip. has fixed my kitchen chair, so I can now lock the wheels [or just one of them] & stand up to load clothes into washer [& also to transfer back onto chair from toilet now] without danger of it moving on me.

Physical Therapist has me now standing up [not moving as yet] on my walker [wasn't strong enough before], just getting used to standing with it right now.  My back feels like it is sitting on my hips & still much pain when standing & doing some exercises with leg, although pain has lessened a great deal from what it was at first.

Sorry, but still not able to get in/out of bed as yet, so still sleeping in motorized wheelchair [tilts back].  Will try to see about getting in/out of our car pretty soon, I hope, so I can get back to seeing my regular Dr.
Blessings to All, Patsy
New update 5/14/08: NO bloodclots in either leg!  :)

Doing some better, but still not able to do any more than stand up & let someone [either hubby, Jeff, or step-sister, Linda, who lives next door] put me on the potty chair or my motorized wheelchair or the kitchen chair I use.  Still sleeping in the motorized wheelchair [it tilts back] & left leg still swollen a lot.  The saddest part is my being incontinent & now not being able to even change my own diaper or get myself on the potty chair or toilet.

They finally have my lap tray ready, & bringing it out today [Fri. 5/2], so my Occupational Therapist is coming out this coming Mon. at 11 a.m.  to see what is happening with me.  She & my family Dr. suggested Physical Therapy, but that didn't work very well after my hip surgery since I don't believe hip healed right.  Laying in bed those 4 days in the hospital with a blood clot, I think, caused it to start knitting back together wrong.  Of course, C.P. & Fybromyalgia plus already being crippled didn't help any.

I am still scared of falling again, so that doesn't help, as the Cerebral Palsy [when I am nervous] makes me stiffen up & jerk my left leg or right arm [also right hand closes up so I can't grab ahold of anything] causing me to freeze up.  And of course, there is old 'arthur' in my hips & back now making the C.P. seem worse.

Emotionally I am doing very well, except for the fear of falling hasn't left me this time.  If someone helps me, I am able to do some laundry.  They have to start the water [can't reach dials] & add/remove the the clothes from washer [top loader], but I can put into dryer [they have to set dryer dial, too] & then I can take out of dryer to hang on doorknob or fold into a basket.  Can't do any dishes yet as I have to stand up to do that.  My wheelchair feet get in the way at the kitchen sink & my arms aren't long enough to reach across that far away.

At least with the lap tray, I will be able to work the PC, as I can put the keyboard on it as well as the mouse & won't have to lean over so much, which hurts my left leg. Patsy   5/2/08
